Medline Industries Inc. has opened a US$125 million distribution center in Grayslake, Illinois.
The new 1.4 million-square-foot facility is estimated to be the largest medical-grade distribution center in the United States. Medline anticipates $1.3 billion in annual orders will be handled from the Grayslake facility. The property—certified by U.S. Green Building Council Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) rating system—is part is part of Medline’s $2 billion Healthcare Resilience Initiative, a national capital expenditure campaign that includes new distribution centers, manufacturing enhancements, and technology upgrades.
