Essity has completed its acquisitions of two leakproof-apparel manufacturers—Knix Wear Inc. and Modibodi.
Essity purchased the Australian-based Modibodi in a US$92 million deal earlier this year. Toronto-based Knix was acquired by Essity in a separate $320 million transaction. The two deals increase Essity’s presence in the leakproof-apparel market. The company forecasts the demand for such clothing to have an expected annual growth rate of more than 20% over the next five years.
